I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T
Interview
The resume and online process have to be spot on for AT&T to even consider calling you for an interview. Initially it's a phone interview, then a face to face interview. It can take a long time for them to contact you in between each phase, but it can definitely be worth it. The interviews are standard fare, but they are looking for the top sales people. You have to know how to build value and rapport, and if you can do that with the people you talk to for interviews, you should feel pretty comfortable.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (New York, NY) in Jan 2013
Interview
initial general interview by phone-> HR stuff like where I want to be in 3 years, my strengths and weaknesses, salary expectations, work experiance, issues I've resolved

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at AT&T (Miami, FL) in Jan 2013
Interview
This a very long and arduous process. The background check through hire rite is beyond extensive. The face to face interview itself was not that hard. You are told to try and sell products to the interviewer.
