I applied online. I interviewed at ASDA (Birmingham, Inglaterra) in Jul 2013
Interview
The preliminary interview was done with a group of candidates known as the "ASDA Magic". We were made to take part in various activities to see how good our communication was when working together as part of a team and also how we work as individuals. We split up into groups of 3 and competed in fun activities which were essentially for strengthening teamwork.

Interview
Applied early September. Got an e-mail last week inviting me to a Magic Session. Had the session on Wednesday. There were 8 of us with 4 members of staff. We first had to fill out an availability form. Then afterwards, we listened to the staff members talking about themselves. Then, we had to pair up and talk to each other about ourselves and then report back to the rest of the group. Then we had to pick a random item out of a bag and had to do some customer - colleague role play and then do that in front of everyone. Was then told we would get a call inviting us back to do the have a go session and a one to one interview. I got the call of Thursday and went in on the Friday morning. Spent an hour on the shop floor doing home shopping. The went for the interview. Wasn't overly long. A few simple questions about customer service. Was told that would hear by Monday (today) at the latest. Heard on Wednesday and I got the job. Induction on the 19th.

Interview
A 1-to-1 interview of about 30-45 minutes which wasn't particularly difficult, then a group 'assessment centre' featuring pretty basic team exercises. The 1-to-1 primarily consisted questions relating to subject matter from my specific application, so asking about my specific skills, experiences and qualifications. The group assessment centre was primarily designed to test your ability to work in a team, with small groups assigned tasks such as building a house of cards, with no instructions as to how best to do so.
