We are proud to again land on Fortune’s Most Admired Companies list for 2024. The commitment and dedication of our colleagues -- not only scientists and researchers but everyone behind the scenes -- to deliver breakthroughs that change patients’ lives is worthy of recognition, and we are grateful to receive it. Pfizer is determined to build a healthier and more equitable world for patients in every corner of the globe, and we thank you for being part of our journey.
The American Cancer Society (ACS) and Pfizer Inc. (NYE: PFE) today announced the launch of “Change the Odds: Uniting to Improve Cancer Outcomes™,” a three-year initiative to bridge the gap in cancer care disparities. Through $15 million in funding from Pfizer, the initiative aims to improve health outcomes in medically underrepresented communities across the United States by enhancing awareness of and access to cancer screenings, clinical trial opportunities, and patient support and comprehensive navigation. “Change the Odds” will initially focus on breast and prostate cancer in medically underserved communities, with the potential to expand to additional cancer types. ACS plans to engage additional partners to extend the reach of the programmatic activities to more individuals and deepen the tangible impact in select communities.
To build inclusive and diverse colleague communities there must be intentional action. At Pfizer, we are proud of our efforts to create a culture where we support our colleagues and create opportunities for growth. This #BlackHistoryMonth, join us #LIVE as our colleagues Sherry Cassano, Sean Hudson and Ebony Arrington discuss how diverse voices create breakthroughs for our patients.

Get to know the Breakthrough Fellows that we believe to have so much to offer as they grow into the next generation of Pfizer leadership. First up, Alex, who joins Pfizer this summer as a Business Assessment Analyst. Alex is a Business Management (Finance) major at Stony Brook University, from Queens, New York. 🏙️ “I choose Pfizer because of their commitment to delivering groundbreaking science for the sake of global wellbeing. This opportunity is life-changing for me. I’ve always wanted to pursue a career in Healthcare Management and being a Breakthrough Fellow gives me access to Pfizer’s M.B.A pipeline program, meaning I could begin graduate school in less than half the time it would have taken me previously. I’m most looking forward to working with the different branches of Pfizer’s global team. I believe the experience of coming together with people from around the world to achieve a common goal is one you can only get at a company dedicated to change like Pfizer.” Are you a student that is interested in being a part of the #BreakthroughFellowshipProgram?
