Ferrovial has reached an agreement to acquire up to 5.06% of 407 ETR from AtkinsRéalis for CAD $2.09 billion. The transaction will be completed in two phases, with 3.30% acquired at closing and 1.76% deferred for up to 18 months. This acquisition reinforces Ferrovial's long-standing commitment to improving mobility in the Greater Toronto Area, where 407 ETR plays a key role in reducing traffic congestion. South Carolina Department of Transportation selected our Ferrovial team to deliver the I-95 Improvements Project, enhancing a 10-mile stretch from the Savannah River to US 278. In partnership with Georgia Department of Transportation, this project will ease traffic congestion, improve mobility, and help keep people and goods moving along the corridor. Ferrovial to allocate over 550,000 euro to cooperation and social outreach projects in 2025. - The NGOs chosen to receive funding in this edition of the program are Fundación Codespa, Manos Unidas, Ingeniería para la Cooperación – ICLI and Nuevo Hogar Betania. - In 2025, Ferrovial’s social programs will benefit 23,741 people in Spain, Africa, Latin America and Asia. This year, Ferrovial will work with Fundación Codespa, Manos Unidas, Ingeniería para la Cooperación – ICLI and Nuevo Hogar Betania to improve access to drinking water and sanitation in developing countries in Africa, Latin America and Asia, and to upgrade food pantries in Spain so as to provide quality food to people at risk of exclusion.

Ferrovial inicia 2025 con resultados sólidos “Hemos visto un sólido crecimiento de los ingresos en todos nuestros activos en Norteamérica en el primer trimestre, impulsados por una fuerte actividad subyacente en las regiones donde se ubican. Estamos ofreciendo la conectividad que nuestros clientes necesitan. Además, nuestra división de Construcción consiguió una vigorosa cartera de pedidos, con previsión de que tenga una exposición limitada a la incertidumbre macroeconómica”, afirmó Ignacio Madridejos, consejero delegado de Ferrovial.
Ferrovial ha sido reconocida por segundo año consecutivo como la empresa más sostenible de Europa en el sector de Construcción e Ingeniería, según el Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI). Este reconocimiento resalta el firme compromiso de la compañía con la sostenibilidad, evidenciado por su inclusión ininterrumpida en el DJSI durante más de dos décadas. Ferrovial ocupa el segundo puesto en el DJSI World, destacándose por su gestión de riesgos y políticas en derechos humanos. La compañía sigue avanzando en su Estrategia de Sostenibilidad 2030, estructurada en tres pilares: medioambiente, comunidad y gobernanza.
Ferrovial ha acordado adquirir hasta un 5,06% de participación en la autopista 407 ETR por un valor aproximado de 2.090 millones de dólares canadienses. La transacción se estructura en dos partes: un 3,30% al cierre y un 1,76% diferido por 18 meses. Además, AtkinsRéalis vendería su 1,7% restante a CPP Investments, y PSP Investments adquiriría un 7,51% de CPP Investments. La operación se espera que se cierre en el segundo trimestre de 2025, sujeta a condiciones habituales. La autopista 407 ETR, una vía de peaje electrónica en Toronto, ha sido un activo clave para Ferrovial desde 1999.
