Pros

Your peer colleagues, they're really what make or break your time at Zurich. Benefits package is good but same as most places. Decent pension contribution

Cons

Management are truly abysmal - No dramatics, they just are. Poorly experienced, no support for them, and frequent ignorance of the technical skillsets that operate under them. If you are a skilled individual, you will be horrifically demotivated and will not progress. Image is everything - image and narrative are everything, if they dont like you, they get rid of you. I've observed this happening, and even witnessed individuals being barred from departments for simply doing their job. Diversity and Inclusivity - they talk about it, and there are many that support it but they are not iron clad in their commitment, end of the day. It's a metric for them, nothing more, theyd sooner be rid of you that support you. Progression- see image is everything, you could be the best in your field, but you'll still be dropped before the graduate that just finished their 6 month rotations. Performance recognition - bonus can be decent but good luck getting a manager that is competent enough to assess you, they stand by wordings that dont apply and refer to examples that dont exist. Safe and Secure - For now yes, but Zurich UKs current culture is that of an organisation in financial strain trying to prop shareholders value. If you apply, take everything you can from them and get a better job elsewhere that recognises and rewards you. And if you're unhappy or concerned about anything, dont worry about an informal discussion with HR or the people team to understand options. Nope, straight to formal grievance. If you are successful securing a role, congratulations, I wish you the best. But for your own benefit, be wary of lies and document everything! Best of luck
