Pros

Great people who are passionate about the product and customers. Hopeful Aneel will bring back some of the values and culture elements that made Workday special before.

Cons

Culture has deteriorated rapidly over the past 2 years. No longer employee centric. People and Purpose (HR) no longer stewards of the culture. Stock has dropped and people no longer believe they are part of a bigger goal. Older workers not valued.

Pros

Workday has many genuinely talented and thoughtful people who care about doing things the right way. Cross-functional collaboration is generally strong, and the company has historically invested in scalable processes and customer trust. In proposal management specifically, there is meaningful exposure to complex, enterprise-level work that builds strong pattern recognition and stakeholder management skills. Compensation and benefits have been competitive, and many teams maintain a supportive day-to-day culture.

Cons

Like many large tech companies, Workday has been navigating ongoing organizational and market shifts, which has introduced periods of uncertainty and reprioritization. In some areas, resourcing and workload balance can become stretched, particularly in high-volume deal environments. As the company continues evolving its AI and efficiency strategy, some functions may feel pressure around role clarity and long-term positioning.
