Get ready hard work....no rewards

Pros

If you are an intern you get perks. If you are sales you get commissions. Bagels and fruit. Games and pool in building.

Cons

Average/below market pay can only take your company so far. Unless you were in at the beginning, the iPo is not going to make you rich. You will work extremely hard for little gratitude. Be ready to be your own cheerleader as no one else in the company will be.

Pros

Majority of the people (mainly out of leadership) want this company to be successful. The technology that Workday builds is really cool! AI is becoming a major part of everything we do.

Cons

Where to start... -Lots of new management with a cut cost mentality because the strategy to bring in additional revenue is not working. -CIO is REALLY in the weeds. She changes directions and decisions on a daily basis causing delays on a lot of projects. She thinks she can handle it but has no idea. -COO's strategy is not working and yet he thinks its our best option since he's from BCG. Has literally told senior leaders in his team to not challenge or question decisions. -CFO and all of Finance are clueless. Again, since we're not able to hit our revenue numbers, they just get into the typical silicon valley trend of laying off people. -Moved to a bell curve compensation model. Even if you're performing, you may not get a compensation bump. -Majority of the functions don't even use our own product. They would rather go with what they're comfortable with. -Has become very "traditional" silicon valley with elitism and authoritative approaches -Diversity in Pleasanton BT is non-existent. Everyone is of Indian decent. Makes it even more sad knowing that all the jobs are moving to India.

Pros

People are nice to you. It is called "Workday Nice" There is a strong culture that identifies with the mission.

Cons

You can be "nice" (including the ever popular 'to your face' and 'passive aggressive' types) and get far here even if you don't do much from a productivity standpoint. Look busy and make people like you and you will be fine. If you want to work in Data Science, stay away. They are for the most part not a tech savvy company and are ok with that. Come here and learn nothing. Or only things that will not help you in your field. Diversity and inclusion is really kind of a joke here (though they wouldn't admit it). They mark a few boxes, for sure, but it is more superficial. Enough not to get a lawsuit etc.
