The company policies are really good. They compensate the associates quite well. Reimbursements for travelling, phone, WiFi etc are given. The working hours are quite flexible and completely varies from team to team. The food is simply awesome.

Cons

You can't change your team within 18 months of joining the company. The teams are also assigned randomly. The work is not really the best and most of the people who have experience in working in Walmart are mediocre at best. Their yearly reviews are a joke and a strict policy of enforced bell curve is followed. So, you will see people not at all working getting higher ratings than those who are doing really good job, all in accordance with the team. The hiring is on an insane level and the company is really over crowded. It's really difficult to shine in such a large crowd.

We are constantly striving to improve our processes so that they are appropriate and fair. Growth is a need of the hour for our business and our goal is to maintain our high bar as we continue along this trajectory. While the increasing number of associates on the floor can be a little startling, it also provides everyone with increased number of opportunities to grow in their career as well. In addition to multiple training opportunities, Walmart associates are strongly encouraged to upskill themselves through the numerous online trainings available to them. When I started my tenure at Walmart Transportation it was well known in the industry to be one of the most respected and best earned incomes on the road. Complete overhaul (gutting) of the bonus structure, and removal of common sense rewards for being safe.

Cons

1. Walmart Transportation is currently in the process of replacing safe, courteous, respectful Private Fleet drivers with less experienced and underpaid drivers. 2. Home Office is in the process of eliminating 3500 jobs (country wide) by Jan 2020 including elimination of vetted drivers, coordinators and ROC personnel and outsourcing to 3rd party carriers.
