Pros

Laid back atmosphere and hour long lunch break

Cons

Low pay. Cut your hours any time they can. Rude customers. Managers talk down to everyone. Your ideas for improvement aren't taken seriously

Pros

Wal-Mart is one of few companies in the U.S. that is still *making* money...better job security than someplace that is operating in the hole. Great discount program, excellent benefits. Team atmosphere is fantastic. Ability to view my paycheck stub before I actually get paid is nice. Fortunately, the person I answer directly to is a doll. Schedules are done 3 weeks in advance, so there are no surprises.

Cons

Store Management seems disorganized at times -- one manager says one thing, which trumps what someone else said. Scheduling issues supposedly cannot be fixed once the schedule is finalized. Have to be employed for 6 months before medical and dental benefits kick in.
