Pros

Only working four days a week because it is a Distribution Center. The pay is not bad, once again because it is a Distribution Center.

Cons

Your just a body to management. All that matters is cases per hour. No matter what happens it is your fault. Not being told the truth about issues that affect the employees.

Pros

The pay was decent, solid company, decent job security. It was actually a bit to work with my associates; they are the ones that kept me going for so long.

Cons

Back to the salary. When you break down the $65K I made a year, it really was NOT that great of pay. When you figure in the actual hours that I worked, I made about $12 per hour. I always thought that it was worth it because the bonus potential would make up for it. Not so much. I rarely bonused, even though I busted my butt each and every day. Market Leadership seemed to withhold a lot from the store managers. The expectations were there, but they would routinely withhold feedback, seemingly trying to trap someone into failing. It was a decent place to work, about 20% of the time. If you have a family or want a decent life outside of work, do not choose Wal-Mart. I do, however, have a tiny bit of faith now that Mike Duke is in the CEO slot. I love Lee Scott, but I felt that his hands were often tied, which showed down at the store level. :-(

Pros

The job is easy and you can slack off if you want to because the managers cant keep track of the large employee network

Cons

it is boring and the other workers are old deadbeats. it gets tiring stocking shelves after a while. It was not fun.
