Pros

Great experience... learn the functions of the store overall while learning management skills. Very flexible scheduling.

Cons

It seems that management sometimes doesn't care as much as they should.

Pros

Good pay compared to other similar jobs. Discount card good for 10% off of none food items. Little oversight by direct supervisors.

Cons

After requesting off for family events and dental surgery over a month in advance, I was told a week before the event that I could not have the days off. Their reason was that I did not have my sheets filled out correctly. When I had it checked by my supervisor I was told it was correct. When I brought up my concern, I was told to by the store manager to work the days or quit. I quit on the stop and went on to live a happier life post-Wal-Mart.

Pros

great pay much better than average retail. Super advancement posibilities. Open door so your voice can be heard even if you have to keep going till it's heard.

Cons

sometimes you have to be a sqeaky wheel to get things done correctly. Keep going to those in authority till your heard.
