Pros

Pay is reasonable based on experience for NWA area. Base pay as a Project Manager II is 92K and with last year’s bonus of 18K put me at 110K. So the money is right compared to other companies in the area. There are highly talented individuals and an opportunity to build your knowledge base.

Cons

The Walmart culture has diminished to a cut throat, highly political environment that no longer respects the individual. The Open Door Policy is disgraceful and will get you on the path to termination. Too many organizational changes with entire departments eliminated. Poor direction from leadership, having a direct impact on evaluations. Political in who not what you know. Be very cautious around Millennials!! Walmart is on the path of lowering the age of its workforce. Not a good place to work if you’re over 50

Pros

Free food, stacked pantries, more than competent salary, awesome office infrastructure, great work life balance

Cons

Very poor organizational culture of creating visibility out of nothing, no major work, mostly incompetent managers who have managed to rise by being a bootlicker
