Pros

It's a good job to get you going and on your feet, but other than that, there is no reason that you should be working for these fascists bastards. If you do happen work for them, take my advice and get out AS SOON as you can.

Cons

Oh jeez, there's so much wrong with the way this company and the people within it operate, I don't even know where to begin. The managers and senior staff are incompetent, and not to mention extremely vapid, to the level that you could just punt babies off of high rise buildings all day. They also treat their employees as though they were worthless pieces of trash. Actually, I'm going to stop there because there's not enough time in my life to list all of the things that are wrong with this company.

Pros

The market in the west coast is pretty saturated with walgreens around every corner. Other drugs stores have diffculty getting in due to the labor unions. It's a large employer where I'm located. So there's alot of jobs with them.

Cons

Customer is always right even when they're not. Rude people gets better customer service because management wants to "retain" them as future customers. So oftentimes, when you see someone being treated extremely nice, 9 times out of 10, they're a problem customer!

Pros

If you're looking for a company with a future then I believe Walgreens is the place to work. When you see the evening news all you hear about is one company after another downsizing. Walgreens has been consistantly growing and I believe will continue to. I worked for them for a long time and I always feel I was treated fairly and with respect. The Walgreen management ethics statment is dead on as to how employees and customers should always be treated. There is always room for improvement but after working for several large corporations prior to joining Walgreens I have to honestly say they were by far the best of the bunch.

Cons

You don't always get feedback on your performance.
