Pros

The people are very nice and respectful and very helpful should you need help. The other employees are very friendly and it is a very low stress job. I recommend this job to anyone. The cashier job isn't the best job, but photo specialist is a great position and the learning curve is very low. The pay is competitive and the customers rarely have complaints, if you are capable of completing your job.

Cons

Not very many, there is not a ton of room for advancement, unless you want to be a manager.

Pros

The best reasons I feel to work for Walgreen's is that their are plenty of opportunities to move up in the company, job security, and Walgreen’s is a nation wide company so you have lots of freedom as far as where you want to work. If you are in a growing market and you have a college degree you can move up to an store manager in at least 3 to 4 years. Job security is a plus because the only way you can loss your job at Walgreen's is by doing something illegal. Finally, Walgreen's has so many location nationwide it's easy if you want to transfer.

Cons

One of the downsides to working at Walgreen’s is their is no work life balance. If you work for Walgreen's you might as well forget about your personal life. All you have time to do is work. Another downside of working for Walgreen’s is that they move you around a lot, you handle every get a chance to get used to your surroundings. Just when you got used to working with a certain staff and management team they take you out of that store and move you into another store. The last downside that Walgreen has is that their is no respect. Upper management treats you like dirt.

Pros

As a pharmacy intern, you have a straight shot into management over a few years because of the growth. Depending on the store, you can have hell or you can have heaven. People you see and work with generally are not as nasty to you as places like Walmart

Cons

Hours are tough when you're at a busy store. There's not been any kind of raises that make sense for pharmacy interns. The money as an intern is not really that high.
