Pros

There are many different departments if you would like variety in your career. They are not afraid to try a new line of business to keep the selections fresh. Stores are top of the line, very innovative and fresh. Back end corporate work - stale, need upgrades to IT.

Cons

Not the best at providing direction from upper management. They want to, but just struggle to communicate downstream...

Pros

Good work/life balance. My manager worked with me whenever I needed certain days off. Profit Sharing is a great benefit and got me started on my 401K. Time 1/2 for working on holidays. Discounts on certain products and bigger discounts combined with store coupons on Walgreens products were nice.

Cons

Truck days are quite physically demanding. Males will be doing all the heavy lifting while the females just talk and hangout in cosmetics. Weekends are always busy and we needed a full team but this is when everyone wants off work, so keeping a consistent team can be spotty. Working on Holidays were awful. Walgreens should at least close a little earlier than 6pm on Christmas day, good grief Charlie Brown. I worked more Thanksgiving and Christmas days than wanted.

Pros

Opportunity to excel for self driven individuals

Cons

Complex matrix environment which makes accountability challenging and simple tasks overly difficult due to the amount of politics and "red tape" involved.
