      SILMIX is a great place to work for a self starter.

      Pros

      The best part of working for SILMIX was the overall environment. My co-workers were fantastic, and very supportive of helping me learn my job, which was very complicated. Autonomy was expected and appreciated in the workplace. The compensation was excellent.

      Cons

      A challenge I faced in this position was lack of supervision to provide job expectations, and appropriate training. However, my co-workers did a great job at assisting me in learning the complicated job tasks. My immediate supervisor resigned shortly after I was hired, and I assumed quite a bit more responsibility, without compensation or training.

      Pros

      Most of the middle managers and hourly workers are very competent.

      Cons

      Upper managers will not make decisions so they can blame the middle managers who do.
