Pros

Still some good people who mean well and work together, the pay is OK for the region(s) but not highly competitive.

Cons

The organisation expanded hiring massively during / after covid, offering remote working HOWEVER, not putting it into contracts. This has allowed them to expand their talent pool significantly beyond those commutable to newbury and paddington. "The Board" have now decided they cant function without people in offices collaborating in person so are enforcing attendance. Under the guise of "freedom", hybrid contracts are being given to the employees originally given remote working The HR and legal teams are earning their keep, Anyone not complying with the changes, or in some cases requesting alterations on reasonable grounds, are being shut down with manipulative and unethical practices. Words like "offshoring" and "redundant" are being seen a lot. The good talent that is able to is leaving for brighter shores, those who stay either relocate or wait until their employment terms are again updated to require full office attendance. The worst part is offices consist only of people on teams calls as every meeting has an international or "at home today" team member.
