Great experience, not reflected at the end of the scheme
Pros
The grad scheme gave us a great opportunity to rotate around different areas and graduates at the company are well respected It enabled some great opportunities for me and all of my teams were really accommodating and supportive of my future at the company
Cons
The major issue came at the end of the scheme when they cut pay for graduates based in London by 7.5% compared to the graduates in the year above as our 'location pay was no longer applicable' despite not having moved our contracted location. After all the hard work that goes into completing the scheme - being told this late in the process, informally and in the midst of London costs soaring made it hard to feel excited about my future at the company. I have genuinely enjoyed my time with all my teams at Vodafone and the scheme as a whole - but this at the end did temper my experience
