Pros

Friendly place, you can learn a lot from everybody.

Cons

Low salary expectations and high workload. Hard to get a promotion if you are not kissing somebodies rear.

Pros

There was budget to perform research and attending conferences.

Cons

Researchers have to put a lot of effort working on weekends. The highest general manager (rector) has no idea of management. The university has been slipping in ranks and losing quality in the last decade. The hiring process for new teachers is so biased that commonly not the best but the worst gets a teacher position for life. Teachers are never expeled even though they performed very badly. It seems as nobody cares about the overall performance of the University, School or whatever except their own butt.
