Pros

Pay is decent, you can start to receive benefits after 6 months. Good exercise. The people you work with every day can be very pleasant.

Cons

They extremely overwork their employees and expect far too much. Often leading to injuries or employees taking risks in order to do what is expected. Management does very little during the morning load. No matter how good your performance you are constantly reminded that the smallest slip up can lead to your termination. You get approximately 3 and a half hours to load 4 full sized UPS trucks with packages coming in a steady unrelenting stream. Very stressful.

Pros

Great way to make money during the Christmas holidays. Most of the drivers are really nice and help; along with a great pay package.

Cons

You only work for a short period and because UPS is unionized it is hard to get full time work with the company.

Pros

This is a good place to learn B2B sales techniques. UPS is also a good company for learning to work on independently.

Cons

They is not enough communication or training for the sales force. There were times that I would learn of new products or opportunities from customer mailing and never received info from corporate. Paperwork is overly repetitive, although management can pull all information from computer. They each have a separate report for you to fill out for them so they don't have to "waste" their time. All contract and reports are to be done on your time. Corporate feeling is that we are UPS and people should be honored to ship with us. This lead to a lot of problems in trying to compete in the market. Was told on several occasions that just because we were UPS our customers should pay a 10+% premium for our services.
