Pros

Non profit organisation which offers 30days annual leave to its FTA staff. Opportunity to work with people from a variety of culture and different lifestyle. Good team work and knowledge sharing exist here.

Cons

Work evolves too much of transaction processing. Lack of communication from top management to staff on the strategic direction of the finance hub. Lack of fair learning opportunity given to all staff.

Pros

Excellent opportunity to work for a mission driven, value-based organization. Smart, dedicated, passionate people working to make a difference in the world through the use of their expertise, skills and knowledge. Great benefits! Lots of intangibles that you can't find work in the private sector. Multicultural & diverse. You have the ability to contribute to something greater than yourself and it's also wonderful opportunity to travel the world and to continuously learn.

Cons

Lack of vision Cut, cuts, and more cuts of positions in order to reduce costs without really getting to the heart of the problem.

Good Intentions...Horrendous Bureaucracy

Pros

UNDP stands for great principles, has an impressive scope of work, and allows access to work with an array of well-funded projects.

Cons

Stifling bureaucracy, rampant inefficiency and wastage of resources, and filled with bloated senior staffers who are more interested in their own job perks and holiday schedule than the outcome of their work. Of course, there are many UNDP offices, in many countries, with many projects. Depending on your team, your project, and your boss, the experience can be great...or a living nightmare.
