      Typical good and bad growing pains for 125 year old company

      Pros

      Upper management keeps attempting to break the mold of a 125 year old company and how it conducts business

      Cons

      Upper management says the right things, but often acts in their own interests. CEO communication is great, however next level down has major communication problems resulting in conflicting priorities among the staff.

      Pros

      As a lab tech I have enjoyed working for UL very much. The work hours are flexible, The work environment has been easy going but can be a little demanding at times. usually when this happens they offer O.T to keep pace. Room for advancement and benefits are better then any other job that I have worked at.

      Cons

      Want more out of you then just getting your work done. Can be good depending how you look at it.

      Pros

      This is a smaller unit of larger UL. It allows to be work in a small company environment but you will have the benefits of a larger company. Great people.

      Cons

      Princeton location is hard to get to. The commute can be an issue if you live further out. Some of the processes are cumbersome and manual. Some of the people are still clinging to older methods. There is lot internal politics in the division even though it is a smaller division and is mostly works independently.
