Pros

Quality marketing and a user friendly product makes it easy to get inbound leads and opportunities to demo.

Cons

I had 6 different direct reports in about 3 years. I had at least 7 different comp plans over that period (e.g. one quarter I earned a 4-figure quarterly bonus at roughly 200% to quota). Tough to feel comfortable or know what to expect in a role when your boss and your compensation changes every 6 months. C level employees typically don’t last more than a year or so either. Poor management over the years and constant turnover leads to chaos and paranoia. Everyone can agree on the company’s“northstar goals” but if management is in constant flux, it’s impossible to reach a consensus on how to actually achieve it. Recently, I raised some concerns with my boss to HR and they were ignored. As in, the HR representative didn’t attempt to facilitate a workable resolution because they kept my testimony secret. Historically, employees who have opinions get fired.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We value your feedback on our strong marketing and user-friendly product, as well as the challenges with leadership turnover and compensation changes. We encourage employees to bring up workplace concerns with someone in management or HR. We are sorry to hear your concerns were not addressed to your satisfaction. Typeform strives to create a safe and open culture, and we especially take the role of the manager very seriously. We want to highlight that we have an anonymous hotline for employees that wish to escalate matters through a different channel.
