Pros

Typeform is remote - personally I enjoy remote work, because it gives me freedom. Employees generally enjoy a lot of freedom and autonomy as to when to work. Compensation is fairly good, although not on par with other remote companies. If you prefer freedom and chilled workdays over salary, its great. Lots of really nice and smart people working here Morale seems to be up a bit since a third of the workforce was laid off in january.

Cons

There is no respect for of trust in the CEO. It is a massive problem that most of the company lacks trust in him and that he seems to cling on just for his own personal gain, rather than do whats best for the company (which would be to step down). He is currently on his fourth leadership team in like 4 years - this shows he is clearly incapable of hiring the right people. The same problem exists with the chief people officer - a very cold, uncharismatic person who - ironically - doesnt seem to have any interest in people. Additionally, Typeform creates its own career framework which, when I interview with other companies, doesnt translate and they dont know how to place me Communication is very very bad. There's a very condescending feel to everything going out, and much of the comms is based on lies and deceit. For instance, during the layoffs they kept promising transparency and that they wanted to do the best for employees - this we found out was a lie. They also lied about the business doing great and that no layoffs would happen a month before they announced layoffs. Same for Diversity and inclusion. They've talked about it and made empty promises for over 2 years, but nothing has changed. They even fired the person leading D&I as part of the layoffs, LOL Many people are looking to leave - Typeform fired 30% some months ago, and we lose more, we'll start to be in trouble

Pros

Coworkers are friendly and professional.

Cons

Joining Typeform has been the worst decision in my career so far. I joined recently and now they are starting to massively lay off people. Don't leave your current job for this one, you'll regret it.

Great colleagues -Lack of direction

Pros

Typeform has great perks and often offers a competitive salary. Also, the product has really good reputation which attracts good talent. The People team is working hard to build a positive culture, but it's challenging in an environment of constant change.

Cons

The leadership team seems to be struggling to find a direction that all employees can follow. Priorities change all the time and it's really hard to make real progress. There's a cool fail forward culture but there's also a lot of operational chaos, which leads to frustration and burn out. Typeform employee churn is higher than the industry average and that's due to people burning out and losing faith in a constantly changing the leadership team. Also, the leadership team keeps hiring friends and ex colleagues which in my view hinder innovation.
