Good benefits, bad leaders.

Pros

Good benefits, okay salary. Some kind, hardworking people on the team, if only they had actual direction.

Cons

The leads in Singapore seems more focused on using too many corporate jargons and impressing HQ than actually leading. It’s like we’re here just to make them look good. We feel like an afterthought. The team is left out of key decisions and global strategies.

Pros

1/ The global name carries weight. It’ll definitely look great on your resume, so there’s that. 2/ The benefits are actually quite good—probably to keep us sticking around while we wait for some sort of direction. 3/ Plenty of opportunity to grow, especially if you enjoy figuring things out on your own because... well, no one’s going to tell you what to do.

Cons

1/ The Singapore team often feels like an afterthought. We’re working hard, but there doesn’t seem to be much interest in what we’re doing unless it’s time to take credit for it. 2/ Leadership here is... let's just say, more focused on their own tasks. You know, like impressing HQ instead of actually leading or mentoring their teams. 3/ If you’re someone who likes a clear sense of direction, brace yourself. It’s more of a “figure it out as you go” kind of situation. 4/ Recognition is scarce unless you're comfortable with someone else taking credit for your hard work. It’s all part of the "team spirit," right? 5/ There’s a general lack of vision. Everyone’s kind of waiting for someone else to give direction, and it turns into a bit of a guessing game.
