Noble but ultimately flawed

Pros

Good place to get experience. Nice training sessions. Some interesting projects. Some coworkers/managers are amazing and I miss them a ton.

Cons

Under-compensates and overworks, especially the younger workers. Very, very political which stems from the top of the organization on down and breeds infighting.

Pros

There were once really decent and smart staff. Prob 90% have left or been forced out. It's now a mix of underpaid fresh grads who will last about a year, and long-time cult members who pledged their souls to the firm. There used to be perks. Like those corporate vests that probably pass for fashion in Waltham. But these days even managers who dont forecast their project hours to a tee (obv impossible in consulting) get their bonuses docked. Anything to cut costs and avoid the one perk people actually want/need - a livable work life balance with decent people

Cons

No corporate job is a bed of roses. They're all games of Survivor/Traitors/[insert reality show here] where the teams are Employee vs. Management/HR. But still I can say for sure that working at Trinity was the worst professional experience I have ever had. Whenever I need a pick me up, I remind myself I no longer work at Trinity and I feel better.

Go elsewhere

Pros

Decent office snacks, fancy swag

Cons

Toxic culture - progression & opportunities are not based on your ability but who likes you and if you’re part of the “selective” group Limited exposure - common to consulting firms but once you’ve done 1-2 similar type of projects, you become the SME and that is all you’ll ever do, despite expressing your interest in other projects Very hierarchical - it’s consulting, it’s corporate so that is to be expected but it is exceptionally bad at Trinity. A team member asked way in advance to take leave because of a family thing and was told you can but be expected to work, be flexible and preferably no, as we need you. However, the same project manager takes a day off the following next week with one day of notice because her friend got her last minute Beyoncé tickets and “Beyoncé is the queen”. Says a lot really. Basically, would advise against joining. If you’re an experienced hire, go elsewhere. If you’re a fresh grad, apply somewhere else. If you’re jobless and need to pay bills or you’re interning, go for it! Good luck.

Thanks for leaving this review - I wish you had more positive experiences to share, but nonetheless, appreciate you sharing it. In due time, there are many opportunities for exposure to project work, but within 1 year that can be limiting! In regards to the family leave - that's a bummer to hear it was handled that way. I'll share this with the HR team and it may be worth sending a reminder to everyone on the importance of WLB. - Sarah Zeoli
