Pros

They are very supportive. I tried another online company and found it almost hostile and it lacked support. The style guide was difficult to find and it was hard to get answers to your questions. TranscribeMe is quite the opposite. There is a wealth of information available and easy to access. The administration is available and not only willing to listen, they act upon it. And from what I've seen, they pay better than other comparable companies.

Cons

They are experiencing some growing pains but are doing their best to work through them. There have been times, as with other companies, that work was not always available. 1. They cannot control when the clients upload the work, and 2. They are getting more work and a more constant workflow.

Pros

-Leadership team is very helpful and responsive to feedback. -Co-workers are helpful and encouraging. -Flexible and remote. You can set your own schedule. -Paid weekly. -Opportunities to advance to higher positions and higher rates of pay.

Cons

-Only paid through Paypal, which means you'll have to wait for money to be transferred to your bank account for every day expenses you can't pay with PayPal. -Realistically, you should plan that the income from here is extra cash to supplement another income. The pay from here for transcription likely won't be sufficient for you to live on.

Pros

There are advancement opportunities if you are willing to put in the time and effort. The management is easily within reach to anyone (regardless of your level in the company). There's always a higher-up person that can be contacted at almost any hour of any day because of their widespread locations around the world. There is a great sense of community that is not easy to cultivate, especially for an online company. There is a lot of flexibility in terms of the work you have to complete. And you can perform the work from anywhere you want to, as long as you have a computer/laptop and internet. There is a wide variety of work available to us, especially as you join more teams within the company, which keeps things interesting. There are many avenues and resources for assistance as a newbie, or even as a more experienced member of the team. Finally, many of the operations/support/sales management team members started out as transcribers and moved on up to that level.

Cons

In an ideal world, I would like to earn more for the work I do. But I also understand that TranscribeMe pays more than most (if not all) of its competitors. And there are certain times of the year that workflow is much lower than other times, but such is the nature of this industry.
