The clients are cynical and there are more developers than jobs
Pros
I worked for prominent enterprise client from United States. The job was not difficult and the salary was correct.
Cons
After over 2 years the client completed my work. Even though the client gave me high notes, Toptal didn't find me new job. There are lot cancelled jobs. The technical interview was scheduled, however the client cancelled the interview a half of an hour before it should have to start with argument that they just found a developer over another vendor. I lost on that client 9 days. Another situation with another client is that the client said that they want to have an interview in a week, but next week they cancelled because they found a developer from another vendor. My impression is that there are more developers than jobs. Toptal is not so good in 2024.
