      Great individual teams, Terrible Leadership

      Pros

      There are some great people who work here. And the fully remote environment does provide good flexibility in work/life.

      Cons

      Terrible C-suite leadership. Many people have pointed out the CEO so I won't say much except to agree with those comments. I will add the Chief People Officer to this list. She is extremely sexist and nepotism is huge with anything she is involved in. Not someone you could ever depend on to treat anything impartially or fairly. They used to have good benefits, but I've been told most of those have been removed since I last worked there.

      WFH is the main one. Can travel and work from anywhere

      After being here for awhile I’ve now realized Toptal is all bark and no bite. Most everything is just a PR or marketing trick. You see all those 5 star ratings, they’re because HR tells people to write them. Most of them aren’t even from people that actually work here. They’re from freelancers that use Toptal. And most of those are still fake. Ask yourself have you ever worked at a company with no negative traits? I bet not. So is it really possible a random company no one has heard of has a bunch of glowing reviews saying there’s not a single con about working here? There’s a reason why there’s constant turnover here. Toptal is now offering extra referral bonuses for current employees because they’re so many openings. My advice to job seekers - don’t believe anything this company tells you.
