Pros

Good perks like restaurant and transport budget, health insurance, therapy, language classes, etc. They also give us an annual budget for learning. They are flexible when it comes to have a personal day off, doctor appointment, etc. Fully remote. Diverse and respectful company.

Cons

You can change client after a year but it always depends on something like if there's something else available, it's not as flexible. The working hours are fixed 8 hours a week. Even if the client has Friday's afternoon off, Thoughtworkers have to work the full 8 hours. It's a consultant company, so it depends on the market, if there's a crisis, there might not be clients, so you will stay longer in the beach (bench) hoping there are no layoffs.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the perks we offer. We definitely appreciate your view of our company as diverse and respectful. As a consulting company, Thoughtworks provides a wide framework of flexible working hours and schedule in alignment with our client commitments. Nevertheless, we value your feedback and invite further suggestions to enhance our company. Best, María

Pros

The company is constantly aiming for technical excellence and social justice. So anyone can sharp tech skill or make the world better or both

Cons

After the senior level you must embrace a tech lead position to progress in your carrier. There is nebulous specialist path, but this path is too messy and it will slow down your progress

Thank you for leaving us a 5-star review! We agree, we are passionate about amplifying social change and advocating for an equitable tech future, and we always want our employees to feel open to discuss their views and engage in respectful dialogue. Our intention is to make Thoughtworks the best place to work for employees who join us. Regarding career trajectories, we work hard to foster an environment where Thoughtworkers can explore opportunities and create a path for themselves that might not be predefined. We will share your feedback with the design organization in order to address any pain points that may exist. Best, María

Thank you for your review! I'm glad to hear you recognize what makes Thoughtworks extraordinary: our people. Regarding salaries, these can vary wildly depending on role, experience, and market; we review salaries annually to keep pace with market rates. We also offer a generous benefits package. For candidates applying to Thoughtworks, we encourage you to be honest and up front about your compensation expectations and ask about the benefits in your region! Best, María
