Pros

There's a strong family atmosphere and everyone works together. There is also lots of room for progression and everyone just wants to help you reach your full potential.

Cons

There honestly aren't any, if you work hard you really are rewarded in all aspects. Also, a lot of this company is personality based so you won't just be hired for qualifications; they see past that and look at the actually person, you are not just a statistic.

Pros

An excellent agency with dedicated and focused staff, good communication through email, phone and text. I have worked with teacheractive for a few years and tend to be kept very busy. You have representatives who deal with different areas. Consultants, in particular Nathan, Jason and Kirsty, show a genuine interest in you, and take the time to understand requirements such as the schools you would like to work in, the location, ages and subjects. I have always recieved feedback, both postive and negative from any assignment carried out. This has helped in develop my practice. My availability can change from one day to the next, so it's nice to have regular chats with the consultants to express this aswell as emailing weekly updates. Payment is always on time ... Friday 9am !

Pros

I've worked as a supply teacher for TeacherActive in Nottingham for the last 7 years. This is the best agency I've worked for: the staff are friendly, professional, and work really hard to get their supply workers into good positions. The best part for me is that they will work around your needs as an agency worker and get you work that you're happy with. I have a chronic illness that affects how much I can work, and if I didn't have the flexibility working for TeacherActive offers, I don't think I would have been able to stay in teaching at all. If you want long term placements, the team will work hard to find you those. If you need more flexibility, they'll work around that. I have recommended to many, many colleagues fed up with unprofessional agencies or poorly managed schools to try TeacherActive and those who have taken up my recommendation have always found it worthwhile.

Cons

I don't really think there are any. The downsides apply to supply teaching as a whole and TeacherActive works well to mitigate them (for example, not getting exactly the amount of work you want or having a challenging class).
