Pros

Company provides options for basic medical, Dental and Vision coverage for their FTEs at split cost. Other options such as short-term disability are only available if the employee pays 100% of the premium. If you were grandfathered in as long-term or previous client employee, then expect to receive special treatment as you’re considered one of the cronies. Everyone else is SOL!

Cons

I was onboarded with this company toward the end of 2022 and lasted all of 6 months. Primarily because of two separate thought processes that run in parallel among management. (1) Old-school mindset of staff that were rebadged from the client (2) external staff who were onboarded externally and provided with a different agenda. This caused significant infighting and I would walk around every day knowing there was an element of personnel waiting to stick knives into my back, no matter the cost. Most of these people are callous, narcissistic, and short-sighted with a huge resistance to changing their mindset. It became apparent early in my tenure that my days were numbered, and I even began searching for a different employer after only a couple months on the job. Return To Office (RTO) was a joke and special treatment was given to the cronies while more newer employees hired directly by TCS were held to a different standard. This effort was eventually placed on pause due to excessive attrition. After the old-school staff realized they couldn’t get rid of me on performance, I was eventually set-up by a trifling female Supervisor on harassment/Conduct violation accusations. This was a mutual relationship but her knowing when it is a male vs. female, guess who is the one to be shown the door. She should be ashamed of herself, but I believe in Karma. Hope you enjoy your 15 minutes of fun and fame! Savor the flavor because it doesn’t last. Anyone applying to this company should proceed with caution! Very toxic and low-class environment. Case in point, half the employees are married but don’t have a problem cheating on their significant others. I witnessed this firsthand!

Cons

Lack of Management from the Senior Level. Manager won't consider you as a good team player won't assign in any of the tasks in which you are skilled. They think they are the ring masters and then they will hunt you down . I was assigned to one of the banking client and i was working with them if anything was wrong in the development phase all scolding were given to us and TCS never interfered in that saying that this is not our liability moreover no proper training was given before deploying to the project. I was having the developer background and my manager due to personal grudges he shfited me to the testing and made me work till whole night until the job is done(My shift was from 11.00 A.M to 8:00 P.M but my manager used to call me purposely at 6:000 P.M and then assign the job. TCS harasess it's employees under the name of TATA empire , the real truth is very different from what it seems.

1) External Technical certification can be reimbursed

Below are basics for any company. With the size of TCS company missing the basic will show where they stand. 1) HR and Onboarding process doesn't exist 2) Superannuation will always be credited to your account after 3 months some time takes 5 months. 3) Team member will keep information very close to them. Within the team every one will work as different team. 4) More mandatory training aligned against clients , domain and lot of useless subject. 5) tickets for help will be closed with no option to reopen. It's always one way. HR and Payroll will always close ticket with standard response and that's it 6) no portal to launch resignation and no streamline of process. You will get acknowledgement only 3 days before your last date. 7) final settlement will happen after 3 months after multiple followups 8) No portal or Alumni for TCS Australia employees. Alumni portal access permitted only for TCS India employee. If you need relieving letter - Good luck with that.
