Pros

Good work life balance and good pay - the bonuses make it worthwhile. Target hires great people, so the work environment is usually a lot of fun and you get to work with like minded people who share your motivation. Target highly values the team mantra, and it gives a lot to ensure strong teams.

Cons

Little communication from management on major changes, and the expectation that changes are the best thing to ever happen, even if after months of trial it still doesn't work. For being a performance based company, many managers do not quickly address poor performers. Also, moves and changes in management are not communicated until days before they expect you to move.

Cons

everything, pay, working conditions, no respect for team members and forget a personal life or don't ever get sick either.

Pros

The company is well known and has a good retirement package.

Cons

Lack of work life balance you are scheduled 50+ hours a week with rotating weekends off. This means that every other week you work 6 days in a row. No diversity from the Executive team leader and above, there are lots of people of color as hourly team members, but not in the management levels. You don't have a divers peer group to relate to. Incompetent store team leaders, it takes forever to move out a bottom performing store team leader. Mine has been at the store for 3 years and has had almost 300% turnover amongst his ETLs the managers that report directly to him. The majority of those have left due to his lack of leadership, respect and abiltity to get them developed and promoted. Pay is all over the board, people of color and woman are compensated much less than their white male peers. I have a peer that has been with the company just as long who makes $12K more than me and is running a red workcenter, my perception is that he is white.
