Why is Target heading towards 70/20/10.

Pros

Target is a company that has allot of tenered executives, so that shows that it is a company that has room for growth. However in this day and time there are so many Executives that jobs are at risk. I believe attrition plays a large part in the separtaion of their Executies. I n this day and time allot of companies are having to down size and Target being a very conservitive comapny they are handling the down sizing in a more Perfoamnce based area. How all of a sudden your Executives that has been with the company for years all of a sudden have issues?

Cons

Target should have a better training program for their Executives. They hold you accountable for your own growth but that doesnt make since, how can you be acountable for your growth when you dont know what it is you should know as a new Executive.

Pros

Well most of the people you work with arent so bad, you get along with other team members the longer you are there. Its a very organized company, the stores are very detailed in a certain layout that we follow.

Cons

If you work at a store where your store management is not good then thats where the problem starts. You are constantly called to backup for the front lanes, the walkies are a joke, all you hear is static and people talking over others. During the summer it gets so hot you feel you are about to sweat but thats just my store.

Pros

Great benefit's such as health insurance and time off, great 401k and pension package, very good salary and options for overtimes. Schedule makes going to school possible while working full time.

Cons

No advancement possibility without a degree. Feels like you need to play politics with group leaders to get in good favor. Not a job I would ever wish anyone to do as a career, feels like your being pushed out after a couple years.....
