Pros

Target is a great place to work with a great company culture. Target is dedicated to developing their employees and has dedicated leaders in place to support their teams. I have worked both in Target stores and in HQ's environments in which both experiences have been enjoyable and challenging.

Cons

No real antonymy to do anything innovative unless you work at Target HQ's. If you work in the field or the stores you pretty much perform the best practices handed down from corporate/Regional managers with no real ability to add your own stamp to anything. Favoritism is huge at Target just like with any large corporation. If you have the ability and know how to play the politically game you can have a great career at Target but if that is not your style you might want to look elsewhere.

Pros

Salary is very high, that is the only positive thing I can say about working there.

Cons

No work life balance Company is very unfair and inconsistent It's all about who you're friends with, not what your work is. All upper management looks for is buzz words, versus results. No real HR, none of the HR have actually specialized in HR. Salary people are paid very well, everyone else is paid minimum wage, with low hours.

Pros

Match 5% of 401K. Good management experience out of college.

Cons

Upper level management consistently continues to add more pressure and responsibilities to executives. You also are expected to work at least 50 hours a week but it is often more than that. They will change your position or role at the drop of a dime.
