Pros

AP teams usually close-knit, supportive, lots of different jobs in the store you will get experience with all of them, and when you have a case actively happening the hours go by.

Cons

Leadership of the store that is not AP related often has unreal expectations of AP, limited abilities for the base level of AP to respond to theft, open leadership AP positions often get filled by external hires more often than internal, and until after I left the pay was the same as a regular team member which for the responsibilities did not match.
