      Great colleagues, appalling senior management

      Pros

      Immediate colleagues onsite at Talan are consistently personable and very helpful. Talan takes care to select people with good soft skills. Theoretically, exposure to well-known clients is possible.

      Cons

      Middle management are also very helpful and positive, and only do the dirty work at the behest of senior management - they are clearly not comfortable doing so. Senior management assumes that non-existent skillsets exist, assigns blame without investigating both sides of the story and is as duplicitous as they come. I turned down a very lucrative contract to gain exposure to consulting. Avoid this company - it demands the extra stress that consulting requires, but offers no perceptible compensating benefits in my experience, nor any more job security than contracting via an agency, or engaging directly with the end client.

      Pros

      Nice and lovely place to work, with a very good team spirit and promising future. A company with a “think different” spirit attached to do beauty full projects with it’s customer and partners.

      More companies should be like this...

      Work hard, play hard!

      Pros

      I worked at Talan USA (NYC) for 4 1/2 years. During that time, I had the opportunity to grow and develop my career from starting as an admin to becoming HR Manager. Talan USA is truly a human company with a real emphasis on providing the benefits and opportunities that employees need. During my tenure, benefits increased each year and other benefits such as 401K with a vested company match and yearly weekend seminar (to the Bahamas and Punta Cana respectively) were added. Talan is a great company to work for!
