      Pros

      Working on software that people actually want to use is always a plus. Despite fast growth, the people all seem to be on the same team, and are all quite capable.

      Cons

      Old code base with a fair number of Windows-specific assumptions, with no good way to learn. Remote meetings never really work well, lots of time wasted setting these up.

      Pros

      The products are excellent and the roadmap for future improvements is genuinely exciting. The engineering staff is top notch - you get to work with really bright people without egos getting in the way. The (rapidly growing) customer base is almost fanatical in their love of the product. Work/life balance is achievable here compared to most places. What you do here actually matters - people are going to use and depend on what you build.

      Cons

      Late stage startup so if you are looking for a garage startup where there is no technical baggage or a huge company where you can just hide and slack, this isn't it.

      Pros

      The product is phenomenal. Fiscally responsible. Greater transparency w/in Tableau than any company I've worked for. Smart people. Culture of integrity. Management team (both exec and mid level) that you want to win for.

      Cons

      Running a fiscally conservative startup means trade offs - wha wha. Small, rapidly growing company means change is frequent, though decision making is strong. Not a place to work if you just want to show up.
