You get paid some money to help with bills and there are decent federal benefits. Uniforms help so you don't have to buy clothes for work.

Cons

You get fired rather easily, Unappreciated, Horrible management, Pay sucks, yearly tests to keep your job, Hard to get an increase,Officers are looked down upon by EVERYONE, horrible hours, constant nitpicking, self esteem drops.

No experience necessary. Pays about $20/ hour after one year. Federal government is a great stepping stone into many agencies.

Cons

Management can be tough to deal with. Lots of opportunities for you to be fired. Attendance. Tests. You are on probation for 2 years.

early shifts that allow to get off at 2p

Cons

Everything. breaks were not full 30 minutes. break room unkept and unclean. management was unreasonable with request to stay late sometimes 1a. knew many people who would get fired or put on leave restriction for 2 min late to work when the train was delayed. no room for advancement. not permitted to take time off--accumulated over 100 hours of annual leave that I could not use.
