Pros

Good Government Benefits which may be the same as any other government agency benefits. It is inside work and you have some air conditioning and some heat.

Cons

Rude and selfish passengers, scheming co-workers, incompetent leadership, ridiculous rules, absurd human resource regulations and the ability to make you work 30 days without pay during the government shut-down.

Pros

The pay is not bad for the locations, especially if you only have a high school diploma or GED.

Cons

The basic requirement is a GED. There is no reward for education or military service, the leadership of this organization is a joke. They take care of themselves and don't care about the hard workers that actually do the leg work to keep the flying public safe.

Starting wage, scheduled raises, paid time off, government benefits, great place for exposure to working with thousands of people a day, a whole lot of overtime offered.

Cons

A whole lot of negative employees, much left to be desired from a majority of management, job responsibilities constantly change yet there is little to no training, all said it is a challenging environment to operate in and even with the cons TSA does strive to provide excellent public service.
