Pros

I worked with some really great people. The majority of the traveling public were awesome people as well.

Cons

Lack of autonomy, no room for salary negotiation, constant drama, poor working conditions, high-employee turnover. Gender, racial, and age discrimination run rampant. Management will not support you as an employee; and is not open to receiving constructing feedback to make TSA better all the way around.

Pros

You pretty much don't have to worry about being fired. Good benefits. You meet a lot of people if you work at a busy airport. There are some good people there.

Cons

Because of the nature of the job it can be socially draining. There's A LOT of disgruntled employees. You'll hear all the reasons over and over again, the job was supposed to be a stepping stone towards something else but couldn't hack it so they're stuck.
