Pros

The mission of protecting the traveling public and the nation's transportation system is laudable. There is opportunity for advancement within the government. Benefits are good.

Cons

Pay is not great. Working with the public, especially at high volume airports, can at times be very stressful. You are also constantly under the microscope.
