Pros

Good pay Not difficult job Cool coworkers

Cons

-Terrible hours. You start off either graveyard shift or late nights. Sleep schedule is expected to be ruined -quite stressful at times. You either quit, get fired, or retire; very few occurrences of people moving up or leaving onto a better place - although the job itself isn’t hard, sometimes passengers will come at you with everything they have. You grow a thick skin fast if you haven’t already

Pros

The team at the Charlotte NC, TSA Whitehall has no pros. They are very racist towards African American people of color. Don’t work here!

Cons

The team at the Charlotte NC, TSA Whitehall Arco dr corporate are very racist towards African American people of color. Don’t work here unless you want to be victimized, lead down a path of no success because of your color, and false accusations made against you. The whole team is Caucasian, so of course they don’t want a person of color in their top positions. They want the people of color as officers only, not in management. They don’t honor none of their culture and values that they claim they do.

Pros

Benefits are great! Even for part-timers. You will have a consistent schedule even as a part-timer. TSA offers many opportunities to gain an associate degree in Homeland Security and Criminal justice after 6 months getting certified. You will meet all walks of life, from passengers to co-workers!

Cons

Leadership varies! There are great ones and then there are terrible ones! The terrible one's are toxic and create a uncomfortable environment to work in. Do yourself a favor and join the union to protect yourself. (Don't listen to those who tell you other wise! They are part of the problem) Many people are miserable and are THAT petty. Dealing with the public can be exhausting, AND TSA has schedule bids and vacation based on seniority, totally sucks if you a newbie.
