Fast growing company with good career growth system and competitive salary
Pros
+ TSSK (T-Systems Slovakia) is part of T-Systems International, a daughter company to the German Deutsche Telekom. This means there are German law abiding guidelines for management, which gives quite a lot of transparency to employee evaluation system (360 degrees review, bi-directional, with 1-over-1 validation) and career opportunities. + Salaries are competitive for Slovak market + Great learning opportunity + Friendly atmosphere in the office, which mostly consists of younger people (average age is around 28 years) + Nonsensical regulations about youtube, facebook etc. have been dropped in favor of more management responsibility for workload balancing - if the manager is unable to give people some task to do, or check that they fullfill it, then it's not really the fault of the employee that they go "on the internet", right? + "Open door" is practices by significant portion of the management, you can approach them and discuss your concerns with them without fear of repercussions, which is also very positive.
Cons
- Being a near-shoring location, it is sometimes hard to push your ideas through, against the "mother" in Germany. In some regards, we are still seen as second-class citizens (not listened to when discussions are taking place and decisions are being made), yet we're required to "pay 1st class taxes" (deliver top quality). - Quite regularly, "the mother" decides something without looking what that will do to the near-shoring and off-shoring business units (like ours).
