Pros

- The company vehicle lease program is second to none amongst the American OEM companies, with a vast vehicle library to chose from and the ability to customize a vehicle for your lease. - The exposure to a multi-national company and its core engineering teams is great for network building and exploring development opportunities. - The benefits for health coverage and retirement options are great with the company matching employer contributions to a 401K plan and a multitude of health care options.

Cons

- Mis-management of manpower and resources to meet targets and goals for the quality of vehicles. Often times teams are stretched thin by taking on projects and assignments outside the original scope of the group. Managers will assign personnel to fill gaps in organization charts that the individual may not have interest in developing into. - Work - life balance in the plant is horrendous with multiple weekends worked with less than 24 hours notice and multiple days and nights worked with little consideration of personal life. Multiple times shift changes were dictated with less than 24 hours notice in support of extraneous activities outside of the group's work scope. - Career development can be stifled through mis-management of personnel and internal upper management politics. Upward or lateral movement can be blocked by management for personnel requirements for plant support. - Professionalism in communication is lacking. Many managers my use insults and aggressive language to assert dominance or deride employees that do not meet expectations.

Pros

Tuition assistance, lots of learning/growth opportunities, many faceted work types in the company. Medical and 401k benefits are good.

Cons

Older, authoritarian style of management used in lieu of more modern & empirical people centered management styles that address the needs of employees in order to cultivate higher productivity. Lack of respect for those truly doing the work at times. Those most productive often get dumped on rather than recognized and given opportunities to cultivate others in same practices. Upper management often fails to recognize their part in removing obstacles in order for their people to achieve the goals they set for them. Lots of promotion of system changes, following processes, but often falls flat when upper management mentality is solely focused on production regardless of method. Pay could be better for the responsibilities given, and work/life needs are often ignored. D&I is not real. It's promoted from corporate culture, but falls flat in execution at the plant level. Few recognized POC/Minorities in middle mgt positions, even fewer in upper/executive leadership positions.

Pros

In America, it has great products. Dodge, Jeep and Ram.

Cons

Raises are not annual or on a schedule. The performance review system can be horrible (they force a negative review in every group). The company feels like it is going through cost cutting stage with the new merger.
