After reaching salaried status, work never ended, especially after the pandemic hit. There was always something coming up outside of your time in the store. Between someone calling out, testing positive, the insane turnover, and adding the basic responsibilities, it felt like you were multitasking into a mental breakdown. Work-life balance tanked the minute store managers were all issued MacBooks, it was great for flexibility, but that's a double-edged sword. Compensation was lacking greatly for salaried positions and around the time I left, I'm glad to say it was being addressed.
