Pros

The health benefits are amazing. That's why most of the partners join up and stay with Starbucks for so long. Also, you are constantly in contact with people, so if you are outgoing, this is a great job to have. If you work in the mornings, it's fast-paced, and so long as you have good rapport with your co-workers and your "regulars", it can be pretty fun. Tips are a good bonus, particularly around the holiday season. This is a great part time job. They offer benefits to part-timers!

Cons

Starbucks demands a lot out of their employees for only paying minimum or just above minimum wage. The work can be very stressful, and a lot of customers can get pretty ugly with the baristas. It's often hard to remember that it's "just coffee"... there is a LOT expected of baristas and management. A lot to know and learn, a lot to accomplish within four to eight hours, and a lot of multi-tasking. Partners may go home feeling frazzled or stressed out because of unreasonably mean customers, a tough work load, or an extremely busy morning. Every store is different, but this job, overall, is MUCH better for part-time work than full-time.
