      Dull but well-compensated

      Pros

      Well paid (for the UK), low stress with a good work-life balance, some neat technology choices. Friendly management and supportive leadership.

      Cons

      Dull domain (unless you like finance), and at the same time very complex. Lots of jargon and acronym soup. All the interesting problems have been solved, so most projects are uninteresting. Outside the immediate team, internal politics are poisonous.
