Thank you for sharing your review and delighted to hear that you're views. We will soon be looking to publish our global wfh policy so this will be for all colleagues globally. We do benchmark salaries regularly in line with the publishing industry. We do have an open, welcoming and supportive culture with thriving employee networks. This makes it easy for colleagues participate equally and perform at their best. Every colleague's impact and contribution is appreciated. Thank you again.

Thank you for sharing. Many of our colleagues are proud of the contributions that make every day to contribute to finding solutions to the world's greatest challenges. Springer Nature is a place where our people can be themselves and learn, develop and thrive in an inclusive culture. We asked our people what’s important to them about the work we do and why they enjoy working for us. This led to the creation of our first employer brand, ‘Be Part of Progress’ which helps us talk consistently about what we offer, to attract the best candidates and explain to our existing employees what they can expect from working here. We have a global career hub which supports colleagues with ideas and learnings for career progression and this is a focus area so we can ensure that everyone has the resources they need to progress successfully at Springer Nature.

Pros

- Opportunities to read and shape the best science - Working on a team that supports you - Support from colleagues outside your immediate team who believe in the overall mission to publish the best science

Cons

- Major disconnect the highest levels of management and the actual culture of research publishing - The move towards optimizing the company for more efficient turnaround times and increased publishing output devalues and ignores the editors' input and efforts that have been spent to bring in the best science year upon year, and adds more to the already-overburdened editorial workloads without proper compensation for the additional workloads. - Repeated promises to bring in more personnel to alleviate these burdens, but the fulfillment of these promises are never fast enough and take at least several months, adding to existing editors' stress levels and contributing to burnout.

Thank you for sharing and sorry to read of your experiences more recently whilst you have been with us for so many years. We want all our colleagues to continually feel supported and, for those who have been here for some time, to be clear about what we stand for and have support to develop and speak up with ideas to improve things. The calibre of our colleagues is extremely high and finding similarly skilled talent in the market is not always an easy task and can take a little longer than we would like. We are working on this and we strive to regularly benchmark salaries within our industry. Thanks again. For career development we have listened to our colleagues and taken action to design a global career portal which brings together resources, training and events to help our people take ownership of their career development through planning, acquiring new skills and discovering opportunities to grow.
