Pros

Where flexibility was the last remaining perk, it's not extended equally among the ranks.

Cons

At Springer, there's zero incentive for working hard and ineptitude goes a long way. Extremely disorganized, abysmal leadership, and rampant nepotism. New initiatives are rolled out before all bugs are cleared or before all geographic regions are even considered, resulting in a bigger mess than you'd started with. Terrible environment: long term building construction brings excessive noise, fire alarm testing and drills, completely closed off or out of service lifts, and even hallway flooding. No alternate accommodations will even be considered unless your position is deemed "income driving"; no allowance for working from home or temporarily moving locations even though there's tons of space due to shockingly high turnover. Major changes are made without bothering to consult with or even advise those who will be affected. No accountability for sexual harassment.

Pros

There was only one reason I was working in Crest (Copy Editing) for -- Work from home allowance. Still, that is seasonal, which means there is workload only for 2-3 months a year. Otherwise, you only get your salary which is quite meagre.

Cons

Lack of managerial skills. There are few so-called "team leaders" who literally torture you and there are some who just love to do gossiping about their employees. Employees are not respected at all. There is this trend called "PIP" where employees are put on and are eventually fired by giving some foolish reasons. I, and many others, never understand why they hire employees in bulk when there is no workload at all.
